The Legendary Miss Britney Spears is getting the Madonna treatment on Season Two of the FOX hit and now Emmy nominated show 'Glee'. Similar to the Queen of Pop's episode, the Britney Spears episode will include 6 of her classics, with a rumor that she will be performing one of the songs herself. (Please, Please!!!!)
Creator Ryan Murphy had this to say about the episode:
"We haven't started shooting yet. We start shooting our new second season on Wednesday. All I can say is that we're doing six Britney songs. I sort of don't want to say what we're doing yet because it's not airing until September, but we're paying tribute to her in a fun and unexpected way. The entire episode is Schuester saying, 'I don't want to do Britney! I don't want to do Britney!' We're doing it in a really fun, hallucenogenic way."
Mr. Murphy could neither confirm nor deny that the Princess of Pop would be appearing on the episode. How fucking lame! Come on, Ryan. We all want to know!
El Divo is so excited about the news because we are one of Miss Spears' biggest fans, and Glee is our favorite new television show. The 'Power of Madonna' epsiode rocked, so I have no doubt that this one will too!!!
